Dark chocolate porter cake with whipped whisky cream

This cake is dense and fudgy. And while I didn't necessarily intend for it to be gluten-free, it is - but don't let that put you off! As far as cakes go, it doesn't have a whole lot of sugar, which I like... it lets you really taste the malty-flavoured porter beer (I used Kereru Brewing's gluten-free Awen Mocha Porter).
Dark chocolate porter cake keeps well in the fridge, and I kind of like it cold as it reminds me of mousse crossed with cheesecake - neither of which are a bad to be compared to! Serve it topped with whipped cream or salted caramel, or just enjoy the deep chocolatey flavour all on its own.
