Matcha cheesecake swirl brownie

I'm the kind of person who doesn't believe there is much you can do to improve a brownie. It is pretty much the most perfect, ideal food as it is. But there's something about CREAM CHEESE in a brownie that makes me reconsider. Perhaps... just maybe... adding cream cheese does take this perfect food and elevate it just a touch more. So there - who said I'm not open-minded?!

This gooiest of brownie recipes has a matcha flavoured cheesecake swirl snaking through its insides. The matcha flavour is beautifully subtle, and enhances rather than masks, the delicious rich dark chocolate-y flavour.

The brownie keeps very well in the fridge (if you have any left...!) but I do think it benefits from a slight burst in the microwave before you're eat it so it's not ice cold.
