Vanilla bean yogurt scones with boozy strawberries

I am loving strawberries right now. So much so, that I'm finding as many ways as possible to use them, and while I LOVE jam, sometimes it's nice to use fresh berries instead - and make the most of the season - saving jam for the depths of winter, when strawberry season seems depressingly far away.

So I macerated some in a little sugar and Grand Marnier liqueur and served it on scones over the weekend. Not just any scones - these are Greek Yogurt scones. Light and fluffy on the inside with just a hint of sourness, and delicately crisp and crunchy on the outside. In other words... the perfect scone!

And because I'm a complete fiend for strawberry and vanilla together, I used the very best vanilla flavoured Greek yogurt. Let's just say these vanilla bean yogurt scones are something very special!
