I'm a BIG pâté fan. There's something so satisfying about a rich pâté thickly layered onto crisp crackers or soft fresh bread. And once I start eating, I can't stop myself - it's that good! While I love the classic French chicken liver parfait the absolute most, it can be a bit of a faff to make.
This smoked salmon and horseradish pate however is wonderfully quick and easy, with no cooking involved at all. It comes together in 10 minutes at the most, then you're ready to serve... if you're the type of person who has guests randomly popping by, this is a great way to feed people quickly and impress them at the same time with your incredible ability to whip up something fancy without appearing in the least bit stressed!
The pâté is creamy and rich, and flavoured with a generous kick of horseradish and a squeeze of lemon for some zing and freshness. If you're making it, use the very best quality salmon you can afford.
